BRAD PITT’S DAUGHTER WANTS TO DROP HIS SURNAME
Legal paperwork has been filed by Shiloh Jolie-Pitt on her 18th birthday. The paperwork is an official request by the daughter of actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to change her surname.
According to sources, Shiloh now wants to be known as Shiloh Jolie. So far, none of her family members or her parents have commented on the matter.
Although not legally, Zahara Marley Jolie also dropped her famous adoptive father’s surname. Since 2022, she has referred to herself without the Pitt part of her surname.
Pitt and Jolie split in 2016 and their divorce battle is still ongoing. The divorce came after an alleged violent incident that took place between Pitt and one of the kids. This led to Pitt being investigated by the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services.
He was cleared of any wrongdoing and criminal charges were never brought against him.
Even though the couple’s divorce is still ongoing, they were granted a bifurcated judgment in 2019. This means they’re legally single and able to remarry if they wish to do so.
