BRITNEY SPEARS PLEADS FOR END TO CONSERVATORSHIP

"I just want my life back!" These were words said by pop star Britney Spears during her testimony in a United States court this week.

The 39-year-old appeared in court to plead with a judge to end the conservatorship she's under.

Spears' testimony lasted 30 minutes, and in it, she made some pretty serious accusations. She compared her situation to that of a victim of abuse and sex trafficking.

She suggested that those in charge of her conservatorship, including her dad Jamie, should be in jail.

During her testimony, she told the judge that she's worked hard to get where she is in life but has had to give up complete control of everything. Spears is banned from making any decisions in her own life, including making cosmetic changes to her own home, without getting her dad's permission.

The conservatorship has been in place for 13 years, but, according to Spears, she didn't know that she could petition to have it ended.

After Spears' testimony came to light, her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake took to social media to show his support for her. He tweeted, "What's happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about their own body."

Spears has been dating personal trainer Sam Asghari for four years. However, under the conservatorship, they're not allowed to get married or have children.
