CAKE BOSS BUDDY FEARS HE MIGHT NEVER BAKE AGAIN AFTER BOWLING ACCIDENT

The ultimate Cake Boss star, Buddy (Bartolo) Valastro, recently underwent two emergency surgeries in his dominant right hand, following a horrific bowling accident at his Montville home.

Buddy Valastro was trying to reset the bowling pinsetter inside his bowling alley when the accident happened. The cake master fears that he might never be able to bake again after his accident.

The 43-year-old Jersey baker is now facing months of physical therapy to repair the nerve, tendon, and muscle damage that he sustained.

Buddy told the media; "The machine got stuck and I went behind it to fix it, which I've done 100 times, and for one split moment I must've turned my head and then my right hand got caught between a fork and this other mechanism that goes through the fork and it kind of wedged my hand in there.

"It blew through my ring finger and my middle finger as it barbed in my hand and I was stuck. It kind of crushed my thumb cause it was still moving back and forth. For some crazy reason I'm on top of this thing and got this metal rod through my hand, blood is everywhere, I don't know what kept me calm cause I was in excruciating pain, he continued.

"It's just a really freak accident. You know, it was crazy just the way it went down. Something told me to stay calm and I told my sons, 'You have to get me off this machine.'"

He added that "It's really preliminary right now, but they're saying it's definitely going to be a long road to recovery...I have a thing with my hands. If I get a paper cut on my hand, I'm p***ed off. My hands to me are my lifeline of everything I do. And I wonder, 'Am I ever going to do what I used to be able to do?'"

Buddy shared on Instagram that he was "grateful" and "blessed" to be recovering at home beside his supporting wife Lisa and their four children.

His wife Lisa said that "He is an excellent patient" and that she has faith that "He will bake again, even if he has to use his left hand. Trust me."

The Cake Boss family also shared their support to Buddy via a Zoom call, with Chef Christian Petroni, Chef Antonia Lofaso, and Chef Gerry Garvin sending their wishes. On Tuesday, Chef Guy Fieri instigated a sweet video from the Santa Rosa set of Guy's Grocery Games, where the cast and crew sent good tidings.

Guy said in the video; "My brother Buddy, listen man, terrible accident but I am so happy that you are rebounding like you always do. We're on the set of Guy's Grocery Games shooting here at the house and a bunch of people want to say hi. Love you, brother, stay safe."

The Cake Boss rival from Food Network show Buddy vs Duff Goldman, has become a strong ally, and Duff has also reached out in support of Buddy's accident.

Buddy also revealed that "Duff was one of the first people who reached out when he heard, and he's been so supportive."

"I'm going to need him to force me to get back into it."
