As South Africans, we know how beautiful Cape Town is. Now it seems the world has taken notice of the Mother City’s beauty as well.

Big 7 Travel is a website known for its global travel tips, photos and content. The site has released its list of the World’s Most Instagrammable Places 2022 and Cape Town has made it onto the list.

IOL reports that the annual hashtag tally, which is now in its fourth year, analyses cities that hold the most “gram” appeal. Big 7 travel chose the winners based on a comprehensive scoring system that analysed the number of hashtags per destination, sample survey results of Big 7 Media’s 1.5 million audiences and from its global editorial team.

Once the results were in it was clear that Cape Town came 22nd on the list. The top spot was taken by Singapore.

With Cape Town being such a colourful city with vibrant colours, stunning scenery, beaches and the world-famous Table Mountain, it’s not difficult to see why the city made the list.
