CAPE TOWN MAKES THE LIST OF BEST PLACES TO WORK REMOTELY
With working from home being the current norm, and technology making it easy to work from anywhere in the world, cities are doing what they can to attract remote workers from around the globe.
Big 7 Travel recently published their list of 50 Best Places For Remote Working In 2021, and the Mother City made the list.
The travel website didn’t disguise the fact that Cape Town has somewhat of a bad reputation for its droughts, the crap wifi and high crime rate. It did however emphasise the "incredibly connected expat community and digital nomad scene from all corners of the globe".
With Cape Town often referred to as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, we can see why so many remote workers would want to settle here for a couple of years. Between the mountains, beaches, wine farms and incredible scenery, you’re spoilt for choice.
Other cities included on the list are Wellington in New Zealand, Melbourne in Australia, Porto in Portugal and Tokyo in Japan.
Last year, the islands of Antigua and Barbuda announced their special digital nomad visa. If you earn a certain amount of money every month, you’re welcome to call the Caribbean home for two years without hassle.
