CAROLE BASKIN FIRES BACK AT CARDI B'S COMMENTS

Carole Baskin recently fired back at singer and rapper Cardi B for her response regarding the Tiger King star’s views on her new music video, WAP.

The Animal rights questioned the artist’s methods used for her new music video, Megan Thee Stallion, and spoke out about Cardi B for the use of big cats in the video.

Baskin speculated that the video had probably used "one of the big cat pimps, who makes a living from beating, shocking and starving cats to make them stand on cue in front of a green screen in a studio."

Cardi B did not hold back and told i-D that she will not engage with Baskin on that subject. "Like, that’s just ridiculous you know? Like, girl, you killed your goddamn husband."

The comment referred to the allegations made by zoo owner, Joe Exotic, against Baskin in the Netflix documentary, Tiger King. It was reported that Baskin’s second husband, Don Lewis, went missing in 1997.

The Tiger King star endured several accusations claiming that she killed her husband and fed him to the tigers located at their Big Cat Rescue sanctuary.

Shortly after the release of the series in April, the accusation sparked numerous memes and has become the centre of Twitter jokes made on social media.

Baskin told Mirror Online that; "When most people are called out for their involvement in cruelty to animals they know there is no justification that will persuade others so they have to deflect the conversation to something else."
