CHANEL ADVENT CALENDAR SLAMMED ON TIKTOK

Advent calendars are awesome and a great way to get in the festive spirit. If you have the cash to splurge, a Chanel advent calendar might be right up your alley. After all, you’d think it includes really great products.

That’s what a lot of people thought when they recently bought their very own Chanel advent calendars. The French design house’s calendars sell for just over R13 000 and are shaped like a giant Chanel No 5 Eau De Parfum bottle.

That’s until they started opening it as December came round. Various people took to social media to slam the contents of these very expensive advent calendars.

Fox News reports that surprises such as stickers, a magnet, a flipbook and an empty dust bag are just some of the contents you can find in the advent calendars. The few beauty products inside, including two red lipsticks, perfume and body lotion, are sample size.

A user on TikTok, @eliseharmon, unveiled her calendar and posted it on the social media platform. After revealing her disappointment, she revealed that the design house blocked her.

In a post on Thursday, she announced “Chanel just blocked me. What’s not clicking, Chanel? Something’s wrong.”

Even though Chanel’s calendars sold out online, many other people have taken to social media to share their disappointment.

Chanel has not commented on the matter.
