CHARLIE SHEEN HITS ROCK BOTTOM AFTER BEING HIGHEST PAID ACTOR
The all-time favourite actor from the Two and a Half Men Series, Charlie Sheen, was once one of the highest paid actor when he started his journey in the series in 2010.
Bagging as much as £1.3million per episode, the actor soon hit a down spiral as he went on a wild bender, and came back demanding a 50 per cent raise on Two and a Half Men.
Charlie stated after being released from the show that; "a stupid, stupid little man and a p**sy punk that I’d never want to be like."
Although he lost his role in the series it did not slow down his self-destructive path and stated that; "The last time I took drugs, I probably took more than anyone could survive" and "I was banging seven-gram rocks and finishing them. That's how I roll."
The down spiral continued even after executives from the show staring Charlie, Anger Management, stated that he has become “uninsurable”.
After several speculations regarding his health and his continues down spiraling, he revealed in 2015 that he has been diagnosed with HIV in the year 2011, and kept is a secret until then.
Sources revealed that for several years Charlie had to invest 'millions' to keep blackmailers quiet, while he struggled with the news and turned to drugs and booze to cope with the diagnosis.
“It was the only tool I had at the time, so I believed that would quell a lot of that angst. A lot of that fear. And it only made it worse.”
Charlie also added that; “It was to suffocate the anxiety and what my life was going to become with this condition and getting so numb I didn’t think about it.”
After losing his spot in the spotlight, and turning to a quite living, he found love in 2017 with the 28-year-old model Julia Stambler who was also reported to have been the nanny for Charlie and ex-wife Brooke Mueller’s two boys.
Despite Charlie’s history, Julia revealed that she was 'not scared' of Charlie's diagnosis and that they were taking anti-viral medication and using protection to still have a safe and active sex life.
Since then Charlie slowly had to say goodbye to the millions he earned from his shows, and was threatened with losing his Beverly Hills mansion due to a mortgage bill of £60,000.
Charlie also appeared in court in 2018, seeking a reduction in his child support payments to ex wifes Brooke and Denise Richards. In his plea Charlie stated that the reason for the request was due to a 'dire financial crisis', and added that he has “been unable to find steady work, and [has] been blacklisted from many aspects of the entertainment industry.”
However, Charlie Sheen has never felt better as his health is better everyday since he got clean. “I made some changes to give myself a shot to do some cool things professionally. And I’m proud of finally being consistent. And reliable. And noble.”
