Congressman Louie Gohmert’s speech during a press conference about the hot topic of the National Defense Authorisation Act (NDAA) fell on deaf ears as it appears, he lost a tooth while talking to the press.

The Republican representative from Texas had social media in hysterics as many users didn’t miss a beat when Gohmert’s tooth seemed to fall out mid-sentence.

The Congressman apparently didn’t miss a beat either as he simply pushed the tooth to one side and continued with his speech.

People Magazine reports that the 66-year-old politician later qualified that while it looked like his tooth fell out, it was actually a temporary crown that came loose.

The NDAA aims to rename several military bases and other government property, and also include bonuses for service members. President Donald Trump has threatened to veto the NDAA because it doesn’t remove legal protections for social media sites like Twitter, reports Mashable.
