CROCS JUST MADE A COMEBACK THANKS TO JUSTIN BIEBER
Just when you thought the world finally got rid of Crocs, Justin Bieber brings them back to life.
Thanks to a Justin Bieber collaboration with the shoe company, a limited-edition range called "Crocs X Justin Bieber with Drew" classic clog was made.
The yellow clog was made in the signature yellow shade of Bieber’s clothing range, Drew House.
The Daily Mail reports that the entire range sold out in just 90 minutes, and that the brand’s website actually crashed due to the demand for the clogs.
The clogs sold for just over R1,000 a pair, and it comes decorated with eight removable Jibbitz charms including a pizza, rainbow, the "drew" logo, a flower, a sun, and a donut.
Just through a teaser photo on social media of Bieber wearing a pair of clogs, the company’s stock price increased by 13%. There’s no doubt about it, the Biebs has a massive influence on pop culture and the finance industry evidently.
Among those lucky enough to get their hands on a pair, were a few entrepreneurs who saw the gap in the market and went for it.
And by went for it, we mean they went ahead and sold theirs on eBay. One person managed to sell their pair for R1,800.
DJ Khaled was among the first fans to get a pair of the famous yellow clogs.
