CROCS ARE MAKING A COMEBACK

The Oscars might have been very different this year, but the fashion was still divine. Well, that's beside QuestLove's golden Crocs.

Yes, the award show's musical director wore Crocs that he sprayed golden for the occasion... to the most glamorous event of the year.

But, it seems as if QuestLove didn't just go for comfort, as Crocs are making a big comeback.

The BBC reports that the shoemaker reported record sales for the first three months of the year.

Why the comeback all of a sudden? It seems as if lockdown and work-from-home attire is to blame. The comfy shoes were worn by many working from home, who would usually only be seen in office wear.

When you're working from home, trying to homeschool your kids and cleaning the house, comfy is key.

Besides being hailed the "it shoe" of lockdown, Crocs has also been working its way up the popularity ranks over recent years. The shoemaker recently had a collab with Justin Bieber and, before that, rapper Post Malone got his chance to design his own version.

The BBC reports that the company's strategy includes social media promotion, with #crocs having gained 1.6 billion views on TikTok, where so-called influencers post videos – either dancing around in the shoes or just to show how they style their footwear.

Love them or hate them, it looks like Crocs are here to stay.
