CUSTOMER LEAVES $10,000 TIP

While every person who has ever worked at a restaurant knows the value of a great tip, a group of employees was in for the tip of their lives recently. A customer at a restaurant in the US state of Florida surprised the staff members with a $10,000 tip.

The owner of Wahoo Seafood, Shawn Shepherd told Newsweek that the customer asked to see the 10 staff members that were working during his visit on Tuesday.

Once they were all gathered together, the customer told them that he appreciated that they showed up and what they’ve been through. He said that he wanted to give every single staff member a $1,000 tip.

While the customer chose to stay anonymous, the restaurant did get his permission to post a photo of the receipt on Facebook.

In the photo, it can be seen that the customer spent a total of R144.66 on his meal and then added the $10,000 tip.

Restaurants all over the world have been faced with tremendous struggles as they were forced to close due to Covid lockdown regulations. Even though restaurants in most countries are open again, the staff members still have to wear masks.
