DONALD TRUMP SUES HIS NIECE
Blood is definitely not thicker than water in Donald Trump’s eyes. The former US president filed a lawsuit against his niece Mary Trump along with The New York Times.
According to EWN, he alleges that they engaged in an insidious plot to obtain his tax returns or the paper Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation into his finances. The journalists named in the lawsuit are Susanne Craig, David Barstow and Russ Buettner.
Alleging they were “motivated by a personal vendetta”, the lawsuit says “the defendants obtained confidential and highly-sensitive records which they exploited for their own benefit and utilised as a means of falsely legitimising their publicised works”.
In 2020, Mary Trump published a memoir titled Too Much And Never Enough: How My Family Created The World’s Most Dangerous Man. Mary’s late father was Donald’s older brother who died in 1981.
In her book, she shared the news that she was the primary source for the investigation that the article was based on. The newspaper and the three journalists were awarded the Pulitzer in 2019 for their investigative article on Donald’s business empire and the questionable tax evasions that created his family’s wealth.
