ELLEN DEGENERES TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Ellen DeGeneres has tested positive for COVID-19. The TV host announced the news through a statement on her social media platforms.
Although she said she’s feeling fine at the moment, she is following all the guidelines set out by the Centre for Disease Control.
The recording of her show ellen is being put on halt as the 62-year-old is going into isolation. The statement also said that everyone who she has been in contact with, have been notified. She will be back to work after the holidays.
DeGeneres is the latest celebrity to have come out with news that they have tested positive for the coronavirus. Others include F1 driver Lews Hamilton, actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, singer P!nk and US President Donald Trump.
Locally, many stars and politicians have also been battling the pandemic, including Anele Mdoda and health minister Zweli Mkhize.
It was recently announced that South Africa has officially gone into its second wave as daily infections skyrocketed to just over 6,000 infections per day.
