ELON MUSK IS TIME’S 2021 PERSON OF THE YEAR

Billionaire Elon Musk has been named TIME magazine’s 2021 person of the year.

Love him or hate him, no one can deny the massive impact that he has had on the world.

A few short years ago, Musk was roundly mocked as a crazy con artist on the verge of going broke. Now this shy South African with Asperger’s syndrome, who escaped a brutal childhood and overcame personal tragedy, bends governments and industry to the force of his ambition, reports TIME.

Through his companies Tesla and SpaceX, Musk has made a major impact on space travel and climate change. He has influenced major global companies and governments to relook at how they’re combatting climate change how they can improve their efforts.

According to Wikipedia, Person of the Year is an annual issue of the United States news magazine and website TIME that features and profiles a person, a group, an idea, or an object that “for better or for worse… has done the most to influence the events of the year.

The award was originally called Man of the Year or Woman of the Year until 1999 when it was changed to Person of the Year.
