ELON MUSK TO GUEST HOST NBC'S 'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’ SHOW
Fans have been going crazy since the exciting news by NBC was revealed. Elon Musk, CEO of electric carmaker Tesla and chief engineer of SpaceX, will host the famous show Saturday Night Live on May 8.
The iconic sketch-comedy show is in its 46th season and definitely has some exciting stuff in store for their fans.
NBC made the announcement hours after SpaceX made the news themselves. The space agency's Crew Dragon capsule, carrying four astronauts, docked with the International Space Station.
As we all know, Saturday Night Live doesn't usually have business executives host its show. However, Musk is far from a regular, stuffy corporate type of business executive. Anyone who follows Musk knows he is the joking type, regularly joking around on Twitter for the nearly 52 million followers. Not to mention some of the jokes that got him into some legal trouble for making disparaging remarks about critics and hinting that he might lead a buyout of Tesla.
Even though this will be the SpaceX CEO's first time hosting the SNL show, he is not a stranger to the screen.
Besides his several news interviews and press conferences, Musk has also been a guest star on the CBS shows Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory. His iconic voice has also been heard on famous animated shows such as South Park, The Simpsons and Rick and Morty. Plus, he made a cameo in the film Iron Man 2.

No joke.
Having Elon Musk host SNL seriously feels like the show's biggest misstep since having Trump host

As we all know, there will be some contradicting feelings about the new upcoming host, as several fans called the decision "electric". Others questioned if no one else was available to host the show.
Another surprising event will happen during the show with Musk. An appearance by Miley Cyrus, who is scheduled to be the musical guest that night.
