When it comes to being happy, trusting your fellow countrymen and overall positive thoughts, the people of Finland are the world leaders.

The annual World Happiness Report has just been released by the Gallup World Poll and Finland came out tops. This marks the fourth year that Finland claims the top spot.

Unsurprisingly, COVID-19 has had a massive impact on the happiness factor of everyone around the world. While it showed a lot of lonely responses due to lockdown, it also showed a unity of strength as people saw it as an outside threat and a chance for people to come together as one nation.

1. Finland

2. Iceland

3. Denmark

4. Switzerland

5. The Netherlands

6.   Sweden

7. Germany

8. Norway

9. New Zealand

10. Austria

11. Israel

12. Australia

13. Ireland

14. United States
