FITNESS INFLUENCER PASSES AWAY FROM COVID-19 AFTER NOT BELIEVING IT EXISTED
The 33-year-old Ukrainian fitness influencer, Dmitriy Stuzhuk, recently passed away after contracting the Covid-19 virus on a trip to Turkey.
The influencer did not believe that the worldwide Covid pandemic existed at first, and sadly tested positive for the virus. Dmitriy was discharged from the hospital in his home country, Ukraine. However, shortly after his release, he was rushed back and rapidly deteriorated.
He appeared super-fit and healthy to all his followers on social media as he promoted sports and healthy living, but his ex-wife and mother of his three children, Sofia Stuzhuk, announced his death.
The 25-year-old said that the coronavirus had triggered heart complications for Dmitriy. After he tested positive for the virus, the media influencer posted to his fans; "I want to share how I got sick and to strongly warn everyone. I was one who thought that Covid does not exist… Until I got sick. COVID-19 IS NOT A SHORT-LIVED DISEASE! And it is heavy."
"The hospital is completely filled with people, some of them being treated in corridors," he continued in his post.
He woke up one morning in Turkey with symptoms including a swollen neck and difficult breathing. Arriving at the hospital, he showed how he needed an oxygen apparatus for breathing.
After he was first discharged from the hospital, he posted; "At home, as they say, the walls heal – my condition is stable."
But, only a few hours later, he was rushed back to hospital. Sofia updated his followers saying that he was in a "grave condition" and "unconscious".
"Dima (Dmitriy) had problems with his cardiovascular system… His heart is not coping…"
Eventually, he suffered clinical death, the medics was able to restart his heart.
After posting that "His state is extremely grave. No-one can do anything with this. I did everything I could so the father of my three children lives. But nothing depends on me now," Sofia announced his death.
"Only warm memories remain, three beautiful kids and valuable experience. God, it is so terrible to realise that he is not with us anymore...."
