FOUR FAMILY MEMBERS SHOT AND KILLED IN CAPE TOWN

Four family members were killed in their Cape Town home by unknown gunmen on Thursday.

Unknown gunmen stormed into a Browns Farm home in Cape Town on Thursday, shooting and killing four family members. Three women, aged 18, 30 and 69, as well as an 11-year-old boy, were killed, said police spokesperson, Brigadier Novela Potelwa, in a statement on Friday.

It is alleged that the gunmen forcefully entered the home before opening fire on the family. Another injured person was taken to hospital for treatment.

Potelwa said, "The SAPS' 72-hour activation plan is in place, and resources have been mobilised to trace and apprehend the perpetrators of the shooting."

Police have also urged anyone with information to get in contact with them. You can call 08600 10111 or via their My SAPS app. All information will be handled in strict confidence.
