FRIENDS CAST EARN $20 MILLION EACH ANNUALLY
It's been 17 years since the last episode of Friends aired, but the cast members are still making money from it to this day.
And it's not just money, it's quite a bit. In fact, it's a lot. The Independent reports that each of the six main cast members earns around $20 million per year, thanks to reruns of the popular sitcom.
While most of the stars have appeared in a movie or a TV show here and there, there's no denying that Jennifer Aniston, who played the role of Rachel, is the biggest star. Aniston has appeared in several blockbuster movies and big-hit TV shows since she gave up her seat in Central Perk, and continues to wow fans.
The show has been hailed as the most popular TV show ever and, with reruns still bringing in the TV ratings across the world, it's clear to see why.
For years rumours have been doing the rounds that a possible reunion episode might happen, but none of the cast members ever commented on it. Over the years, the demand for a special one-off reunion episode has gained momentum, which eventually lead to the producers and the cast members all agreeing to it.
Friends: The Reunion Special will air tonight on HBO, which means it's exclusively available to those who have access to the US-based channel. In South Africa, MNET has managed to seal the deal, and will be airing the much-anticipated episode on Sunday night at 20:00.
