FRIENDS REUNION EPISODE COULD BE FILMED IN AUGUST
The highly anticipated reunion episode of the popular 90’s sitcom Friends is set to be filmed in August.
David Schwimmer, who plays the role of palaeontologist Ross Gellar, spilled the beans during an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday.
“It’s supposed to happen maybe in August, the middle of August, but honestly we’re going to wait and see another week or two if we all determine it’s really safe enough to do. And if not, then we’ll wait until it’s safe.”
Schwimmer is set to be joined by fellow cast members Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry.
According to reports by Variety and Hollywood Reporter, all six cast members are set to receive between $2.5 and $3 million to appear in the reunion special.
Friends first aired in 1994 and had a successful 10 year run before it wrapped up in 2014. While all six cast members went on to star in movies and TV shows, Jennifer Aniston has by far been the most successful of the six.
With hit movies like Along Came Polly, Just Go With It, and Meet The Millers, as well as the acclaimed Netflix drama series The Morning Show starring opposite Reese Witherspoon, the 51-year-old has proven herself over and over again.
The reunion special was supposed to be filmed in May, but the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic halted production.
