KANYE WEST CONCEDES DEFEAT AFTER RECEIVING 60 000 VOTES

Rapper and fashion designer, Kanye West, managed to get about 60,000 votes during this year’s US presidential election.

While everyone knew that he didn’t stand a chance between the Democrat candidate, former vice president, Joe Biden, and Republican president, Donald Trump, many people are surprised that Kanye actually managed to get more than 60,000 votes.

The New York Times reports that the music mogul voted for himself in what he called his first ever presidential vote, and that although Kanye ran as an independent – his party is called the Birthday Party – Republican aligned political operatives were later found to be assisting his efforts to qualify for the ballot.

Fellow celebrities, Jennifer Aniston and John Legend, voiced their concern that Kanye is wasting important votes and possibly stealing votes from vice president Biden.

According to national election results tabulated by the Associated Press, Kanye received roughly 60,000 votes across a dozen states, making his ultimate impact on the race exceedingly small, reports People.

The Associated Press goes on to report that Kanye received most of his votes in the state of Tennessee with 10,216 votes.

Even though the winner of this year’s presidential election hasn’t been announced yet, Kanye has conceded defeat already.
