KATE MIDDLETON REVEALS CANCER DIAGNOSIS
The Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales has revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer and that she’s currently undergoing chemotherapy.
The 42-year-old made the announcement via a video on her and Prince William’s Instagram account.
In the video, Kate revealed that the news of her diagnosis came as a “huge shock” and that the couple “have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family”.
The video was seen as a very unprecedented move for a member of the royal family. In the video, she said it’s taken her and Prince William “time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay”.
She also thanked William for his support and added: “the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both”.
In January, Kate underwent abdominal surgery at The London Clinic. The cancer diagnosis was made after the operation.
Kensington Palace has said that it won’t be sharing any specific details regarding what kind of cancer the princess has or what stage the cancer is. The Palace has requested people not to speculate.
