KIM KARDASHIAN AND KRIS JENNER BREAKS SILENCE AFTER KANYE WEST'S TWITTER MELTDOWN

Kim Kardashian West broke her silence after a Twitter meltdown by husband and rapper Kanye West. Kim spoke about West’s bipolar disorder amid erratic behavior in the last few days stemming from his 2020 presidential bid.

"As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this, or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand," Kardashian's statement shared to Instagram begins.

While West attended a campaign rally in North Charleston, he criticized Harriet Tubman and tearfully spoke about the subject of abortion where he openly spoke about his daughter North. He followed that with a lengthy Twitter rant on Monday night, in which he touched on his marriage to Kardashian, his fears of getting “locked up”, and teased an upcoming album named after his late mother.

Kardashian, who has never before opened up about her husband’s bipolar disorder, issued a statement on Instagram defending West. She noted that she has avoided speaking about this subject publicly out of respect for her kids as well as her husband's right to privacy.

"But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health," she explained. "Those that understand mental illness, or even compulsive behavior, know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgemental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help, no matter how hard family and friends try."

Kim said she realizes that her husband’s words can "cause strong opinions and emotions" due to his status as a public figure. However, she carried on stating that he is a "brilliant and complicated" person that is simply struggling to deal with his mental illness at times.

"He is a brilliant but complicated person who, on top of the pressure of being an artist and a black man who experienced the painful loss of his mother, has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder," she wrote. "Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words sometimes do not align with his intentions."

In his latest Twitter outburst, West said that Kim was "out of line" when she met Meek Mill to talk about "prison reform", and blasted her mother Kris Jenner as "Kris Jong-Un" while accusing the pair of "white supremacy". "Kris and Kim put out a statement without my approval... that's not what a wife should do," Kanye said after reports that the Kardashians were infuriated by his latest antics. Sources told TMZ on Wednesday that the Kardashians "don't know what to do" as Kanye is "clearly not receptive to getting help".

West had stated that "Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up, like on the movie Get Out" after his troubling appearance at the South Carolina campaign rally.

"I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf [sic] for "prison reform'', Kanye said, adding: "This my lady tweet of the night... Kris Jong-Un".

In his next tweet he wrote: "Meek is my man and was respectful. That's my dog. Kim was out of line. I'm worth $5 billion and more than that through Christ. But you'll ain't listen to MJ but you'll believe them???".

Kanye has also shared his conversations with Kris Jenner, where he threatened to "go to war" if she did not return his calls.

The first message read: "This Ye, you ready to talk now or are still avoiding my call?", while the second, posted a day later, said: "This Ye, you wanna talk or go to war?". He captioned the screenshot: "White supremacy at its highest no cap."

Reports stated that friends re fearing for Kanye and Kim’s marriage, and that it may not survive West's recent frightening behavior.
