LIAM PAYNE’S NETFLIX SERIES TO PREMIERE SOON
Former One Direction band member Liam Payne has been featured in a new trailer on Netflix.
Payne, who died in October after he fell from a hotel balcony in Argentina, recorded the series Building The Band just before his death.
The series has been described as a music experiment in which 50 singers must form a band without meeting or even seeing each other.
He was a guest judge in the series alongside fellow music stars like Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child, AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys and Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls.
RTE reports that the judges had to listen to each performance through individual booths, and only six bands will make it through, where they will then meet their fellow bandmates and face the challenge of managing personalities, choreographies, and style ahead of the live performances.
Payne became a household name when he was chosen to form the band One Direction in 2010. His bandmates were Niall Horan, Liam Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik.
Together, the five guys became one of the biggest pop groups in the world. They toured the world five times before they broke up in 2016.
Payne’s solo career experienced a successful wave with collaborations featuring Jonas Blue, Quavo, and Rita Ora.
Building The Band will premiere on Netflix on 9 July.
