US BOMBS IRAN
The United States have bombed three nuclear facilities in Iran. This happened during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The attack on Iran is the United States’ entry into the conflict between Israel and Iran.
US President Donald Trump said the sites, Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan, were “completely and totally obliterated”, adding that future attacks would be “far greater and a lot easier”.
Details of the operation called Midnight Hammer were released by the White House on Sunday. According to a defence official, around 125 US military aircraft were part of the operation. It was the largest B-2 operational strike in US history and the second-largest B-2 mission ever flown.
The only other mission that was bigger was a mission after 9/11.
As part of its retaliation, Iran launched a missile barrage into Israel on Sunday morning. The missiles caused damage and injured civilians in the city of Tel Aviv.
NBC News reports that since the conflict began 10 days ago, Israeli strikes have killed at least 400 people in Iran and injured 3,000, according to Iran’s health ministry. The death toll in Israel from Iran’s retaliatory strikes remains at 24.
