LIQUI FRUIT RED GRAPE CANS RECALLED AFTER GLASS FOUND IN THEM

Pioneer Foods has recalled a batch of their Liqui Fruit red grape juice 330ml cans.

This follows reports of consumers who have found glass particles in the cans.

EWN reports that the National Consumer Commission (NCC) has announced the recall. Companies are required by law to inform the NCC of any product recalls.

"The batch itself needs to have a specific best before by date, which is the 2 and 3 April 2021. Because it is a fast-moving good, we hastily wanted them to make sure that consumers are alerted and the product is removed from the distributors and stores," said the Commission's spokesperson, Shezi Mabuza.
