LITTLE MIX STAR JESY NELSON FORCED TO PULL OUT OF THE SEARCH FINAL TO DUE FEELING UNWELL
The Little Mix singer, Jesy Nelson, recently sparked concern among her fans after the star pulled out of their reality show’s final episode, citing illness.
Not only did the star decide to not appear in the last episode of The Search, but Nelson, 29, also pulled out of her hosting gig at the MTV European Music Awards on Sunday 8 November, where she was also due to perform along side her band mates.
Earlier, a representative for Little Mix confirmed that "Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of Little Mix The Search," as well as "hosting or performing at the MTV EMAs."
The Search is broadcast on the BBC, and showcases six new bands as they compete to join Little Mix on their next tour.
The news comes soon after fans pointed out that the singer looked far less enthusiastic, and that Nelson looked "over it" in a promotional video for the band’s new record, Confetti.
The promotion video was deleted from social media as well as from music platform ,Anghami's, official Twitter page.
Replying to the now-deleted video, one fan wrote: "Jesy really doesn’t care anymore does she, she’s over it."
However, only weeks before the announcement, Jesy was seen becoming overwhelmed, breaking down in tears and having a panic attack during the band’s live radio performance on BBC Radio One’s Live Lounge.
Jesy later explained to her fans on Instagram, confirming that she had a panic attack on stage. She also took the time to thank band member, Perrie, for singing her part of the song. "Rehearsals. So my nerves got the better of me today and I had panic attack right before we were about to sing this for live lounge today and, like a pro, @perrieedwards jumped in for my part last minute and smashed it. This is what we originally did in rehearsals."
Meanwhile, the Little Mix Twitter account wrote; "Can you believe tonight’s the FINAL of @LMTheSearch!! We’re unbelievably proud of all 6 bands and we can’t wait to see the final 4 perform! We’re so sad Jesy won’t be able to join us tonight, but we have such an amazing show in store for you all x."
