LOFTUS SUITE HOLDERS MUST BUY TEST TICKETS
One of the perks of having a suite at Loftus Versfeld is that you’ve got a guaranteed seat for any test matches played at the stadium in Pretoria.
Not anymore. According to Bulls CEO Edgar Rathbone, SA Rugby’s new Springbok Test ticketing arrangement requires suite holders to buy their own tickets from SARU.
“Under the new SARU model, suite owners must purchase tickets directly from Saru for international matches,” Rathbone explained the situation to suite holders in official communication.
Rathbone highlighted the “significant change”, but had some good news at least when he said the Bulls negotiated a more favourable price than originally proposed by SARU.
Loftus suite holders only have to pay R1,740 (excl. VAT) per seat instead of the R6,000 initially proposed by SARU.
Rathbone emphasised that this only applies to the 2025 Test and doesn’t mean the same will happen for future matches.
The deadline for suite holders to buy their seats from Saru for the Springboks Test against Italy on 5 July is around the corner. If they don’t buy their own tickets, Saru will have the right to sell those tickets as hospitality packages.
