LONDON HOTEL FIRE

A fire broke out at a luxury London hotel on Friday, causing 100 people to evacuate.

The Chiltern Firehouse is a favourite hangout spot for local and international celebs.

It also happens to be the venue for a BAFTA Awards afterparty hosted by Netflix on Sunday.

At 14:52 on Friday, the London Fire Brigade was called out to the hotel. By that evening, the fire was under control but was still ongoing at a building next door.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

The Firehouse’s bar and restaurant is a favourite among local and international celebs with Tom Cruise and Kate Moss having stayed over at the hotel.

Last year, after finishing her series of Wembley shows, Taylor Swift had her afterparty there.

While it’s not clear at the moment how much damage has been caused, the hotel and restaurant are likely to be closed for some time so that extensive repairs can take place.
