LONELY BOOK SIGNING GOES VIRAL

What started as a very lonely book signing with only 10 people lining up to meet the author, has turned into a viral moment giving hope to those struggling.

Author Jonathan Stanley set up a table and got ready to promote his book Purposeful Performance: The Secret Mix of Connecting, Leading, and Succeeding.

A mom and her four-year-old were inside the Barnes & Noble bookstore when they noticed that even though Stanley was ready to meet and greet people, everyone passed him.

“This sweet man is sitting at B&N with a stack of his books he wrote, and my heart is breaking every time someone passes him,” Taylor Dinelli wrote in her video.

Dinelli’s daughter, Ella, dreams of becoming an author and asked her mom if they could buy the book and ask Stanley to sign it for her, hoping it would encourage other people to do the same.

Little did the mom and daughter know that their video would go viral and lead to Stanley’s book reaching number one on Amazon’s Strategic Management section and number four in business overall.

Stanley was overwhelmed by the four-year-old and her Mom’s gesture, and the world sat up and took notice.
