LUXURY CARS SMASHED IN CAPE TOWN

A luxury car dealership in Brooklyn, Cape Town was attacked by 40 people on Tuesday. Video footage is doing the rounds on social media of the attack where luxury cars and the offices of The Toy Shop were vandalised.

East Coast Radio reports that the crime was initially set out to be a robbery, but when staff refused to hand over keys to the suspects, they changed their strategy and started destroying the vehicles on the floor, smashing everything from luxury SUVs to high-performance roadsters.

Cape Town Police later said that eight vehicles were damaged, and employees were robbed of their cell phones.

“The possibility that the incident is extortion related cannot be ruled out.”

In the footage, a man can be seen with a gun in his hand.

The 40 people are still at large, and police have not made any arrests.
