MAN TRIES TO GET VACCINATION IN PROSTHETIC ARM

An Italian man in his 50s tried to get a vaccination in a prosthetic arm so that he could go back to work.

The health worker, who lives in the city of Biella, was recently suspended from his job for refusing to get the vaccination. It is believed that he stole the prosthetic arm from work.

The nurse who was tasked with giving him the injection noticed that the colour and touch of his arm was strange. She then asked him to show his whole arm. This led to her discovery of the prosthetic arm and the nurse reporting him.

Regional governor Alberto Cirio posted on Facebook that the incident would border on the ridiculous, were it not for the fact that we are talking about an extremely serious act.

The man, in his 50s, has been reported to local police. It’s not yet clear with what he will be charged with, but local authorities are taking the matter very seriously.

Italy was one of the countries worst hit by COVID-19 during the first wave. So far, just over 74% of the population has been vaccinated with 99.3 million doses already given.
