NADAL GIFTED SOLID GOLD TENNIS RACKET
If this gift is anything to go by, Rafael Nadal is set to have a luxurious retirement.
Tennis legend Nadal recently announced his retirement after more than a decade of playing competitive professional tennis.
The king of clay played against his greatest rival Novak Djokovic in the Six Kings Slam exhibition in Riyadh.
The hosts of the exhibition match gave Nadal a solid gold racket finished off with golden strings. When the racket was handed over by the Saudi-based hosts, social media immediately started to speculate on how much the racket could be worth.
Comments were all over the place with some people suggesting it could be worth as much as $10 million.
During their careers, Nadal and Djokovic played against each other a record 60 times. Djokovic is leading the contest 31-29. But, that score will forever be etched in tennis history as Nadal won’t have another opportunity to play against Djokovic before his retirement.
Nadal’s last games will be during the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga next month.
