TREVOR NOAH’S BOOK DEBUTS AT NUMBER 1 ON NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER LIST
An illustrated book aimed at young readers has reached the number one spot on the New York Times best-seller list on debut. The book is titled Into The Uncut Grass. The author? None other than South African comedian Trevor Noah. The book, illustrated by Sabina Hahn, was released on 8 October. Just before its release, Noah said on X: “My hope is that you enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed writing it”! When the news broke that Into The Uncut Grass debuted at number one, Noah shared his joy with his followers.
“Wow! A huge thank you to everyone who picked the book up for themselves or as a gift for someone else. To have Into The Uncut Grass debut at #1 on the (New York Times) bestseller list is absolutely mind-blowing.”
The book tells the story of an imaginative boy and his teddy bear Walter. Together, they embark on an adventure one Saturday morning.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel pointed out that the book’s main character doesn’t have a name, to which Noah responded: “That’s what I love about the story. You don’t have to have a name, it’s not about that, and I think it’s stronger and it pulls you in”.
