NEW CHAPTER FOR AYANDA PATOSI
Veteran midfielder Ayanda Patosi, once a proud member of the Bafana Bafana and a standout at Cape Town City FC, has confirmed a move to a new club, signalling a fresh start in his career.
The switch comes after several reflective months during which he weighed his options and looked to reignite the spark that made him such a respected figure in South African football.
He arrives at his new team with plenty of experience and intent. Having worn the national colours with pride and delivered solid performances in Cape Town, Patosi knows what it takes to compete at a high level.
Cape Town City FC are banking on that maturity, as well as his ability to guide younger players and lift the squad’s mentality. It’s a role he seems ready for as he’s spoken openly about wanting to make an impact not just on the pitch, but off it too, setting a professional example and helping his new side punch above their weight.
Fans will be eager to see how quickly he settles in. His new club call him a “key signing” – someone who can combine technique, vision and leadership.
With the season heading into its crucial phase, they’re hoping his arrival will bring the momentum they’ve been missing.
For Patosi, this is more than just another contract; it’s a chance to reaffirm himself, embrace new challenges, and write the next chapter of a distinguished journey in South African football.
