TROUBLE IN FERRARI PARADISE
Ferrari finds itself under the spotlight after a turbulent weekend at the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix and some pointed comments from its chairman.
John Elkann didn’t mince words when judging his team’s performance, telling drivers to “talk less” and focus on driving as the Scuderia struggles for consistency.
Elkann’s criticism came after both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton failed to finish in Brazil. Leclerc was taken out early after a collision involving another driver, and Hamilton was hampered by damage and eventually retired.
With their double DNF, Ferrari slipped from second to fourth in the constructors’ standings, a blow for a team with high expectations.
Elkann backed the work of Ferrari’s engineers and mechanics, saying the car has improved, but stopped short when it came to the rest of the team. He implied the drivers needed to sharpen their focus and avoid distractions.
In response, Leclerc emphasised the need for unity and rallied behind the team, saying only together can they climb back. Hamilton echoed that stance too, posting that he “won't give up. Not now, not then, not ever.”
As Ferrari heads into the final races of the year, the message is clear: The car might be there, but the collective performance needs to match.
