PRET A MANGER TO OPEN IN SA IN 2025

One of the world’s favourite sandwich shops is set to land in Johannesburg next year.

Pret A Manger is based in the UK but has shops in countries like Canada, India, Hong Kong, France, USA and Switzerland.

The first two stores are set to open in Johannesburg. One of them in Melrose Arch and the other in Rosebank. The Melrose Arch store will open in January 2025 while the Rosebank Zone store is set to open at the end of March/early April.

Besides sandwiches, Pret, as it’s commonly referred to, also offers salads, wraps, snacks, baked goods, vegetarian and vegan options. The menu also has a wide variety of organic coffees, teas and other hot and cold beverages.

Other cities where more branches will soon open are Pretoria, Cape Town, and Durban.

Pret A Manger isn’t the only international retailer or brand to land in South Africa. JD Sports recently announced the opening of its first stores in South Africa. This comes after an announcement made by The Foschini Group that it has signed an exclusive franchise agreement with the UK-based sports retailer to open stores here.
