PRINCESS CHARLENE TO MISS MONACO'S NATIONAL DAY

After much speculation about when she will be returning to Monaco, Princess Charlene is still not attending any events even though she has returned home.

Monaco's royal palace released a statement confirming that she won't be attending the principality's national day celebrations after missing an event on Tuesday as well.

"Having battled with poor health over the past few months the Princess is currently convalescing and will continue to do so for the coming weeks, allowing her time to recover from a state of profound general fatigue."

The Princess was in South Africa for several months following a rhino conservation outing. The initial visit was only planned for a few days, but after she collapsed due to complications related to an ear, nose and throat infection she decided to stay.

During her prolonged stay in her native country, Prince Albert and their twins Gabriella and Jacques came to visit her. The Princess also underwent surgery while in South Africa, described by doctors at the time as “successful”.

Princess Charlene’s health and happiness have long been the topic of discussions among the world’s media as rumours of unhappiness and mental health problems have been highlighted, something the palace has always denied.
