SINGAPORE’S MOST EXPENSIVE LISTING SELLS FOR R1 BILLION

The highest residence in Singapore has just sold for almost R1 billion.

It is spread across three floors right at the very top of the Tanjong Pagar Centre and is known as a super penthouse.

Listed at R1,5 billion initially, Sir James Dyson bought the triplex condo at Tanjong Pagar for R1 billion. The condo forms part of the Wallich Residences.

Dyson is the inventor of the bagless vacuum cleaner and has built and empire out of household vacuum cleaners.

Little is known about the transaction between the 72-year-old Dyson, his wife Lady Dierdre Dyson and the previous owners.

According to Mansion Global, the condo is just under 2,000 square metres and more than five times as big as the other penthouses in the building.

It starts on the 62nd floor and features five bedrooms, including the massive master suite and several junior master bedrooms.

The second floor houses the formal dining area as well as other living spaces. It also has a wine room with space for 600 bottles.

The top floor (64th) features a private pool, cabana, bar and roof terrace.

The condo also has a private garden and a stunning view deck.
