SPRINGBOK HOOKER, NAKA DROTSKé, SHOT IN ATTACK

On Thursday evening, Naka Drotské, his brother and fellow Springbok Rugby World Cup winner, Os du Randt, were attacked on a smallholding in Kameeldrift.

It is alleged that Drotské got into a struggle with the attackers when he was shot three times. Police have said that two men have been taken in for questioning regarding the attack but they have not been arrested.

Drotské was taken to the Netcare Montana Hospital and is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.

Police combed the scene for forensic evidence and, according to reports from News24, it is understood detectives found spent bullet casings as well as gloves which will be sent for DNA testing

Apparently, a neighbour rushed to the scene and fired two warning shots.
