THE ONE THING ALL CREATIVE GENIUSES WEAR

Here is the one thing that creative geniuses wear.

It's a simple element in most cupboards, but there's a link between the black polo neck and those that have been labeled genius. 

In a recent article published by CNN, it's noted that the garment became associated with glamorous writers, artists, musicians and film stars. 

Actors like Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire were both fans of the humble black polo neck, as was the famous artist Andy Warhol and, most recently, Apple founder Steve Jobs.

Jobs was rarely photographed without his black Issey Miyake polo neck on and has stated that it was his favourite thing to wear. While he was still taken seriously as a businessman, his cool approach showcased by his outfits made him stand out among the boring suits.

From politicians to actors, models to businessmen, the black polo neck might have had humble beginnings, but it has certainly made its mark in the fashion world.
