THE WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE N99 FACE MASK
Yvel, a luxury brand from Israel, has made what is widely believed to be the world’s most expensive N-99 face mask.
The mask has a total weight of about 210 carats, features 250 grams of pure 18k gold, and is set with 3,608 black and white diamonds, reports W24.
While it might be pretty to look at, it is also designed to be wearable. The mask has a special slot where a disposable N-99 mask can be slotted in.
Isaac Levy, owner and designer of Yvel, said the mask was commissioned by a Chinese businessman in the United States, on three conditions.
The first condition was that it must be a N-99 mask, approved by the FDA and European standards. The second condition was that delivery should take place before 31 December 2020. According to Levy, the third condition was the easiest to fulfil: it had to be the most expensive mask in the world.
While the mask will no doubt make one client very happy, it in turn allowed the staff at Yvel to keep their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic as it cost a whopping $1.5 million.
Levy believes that it is the most expensive mask in the world and, if another company wants to challenge him, he will simply go ahead and make another mask that’s worth even more than the original.
