THREE FRIENDS ALMOST DIE AS ELEVATOR FLOODS

It certainly wasn’t the Friday night they had planned. Three friends in Nebraska took a lift down to the ground floor of their apartment building when water started rushing in from the lobby of the building. The massive amount of water that rushed into the elevator caused major concern for the people inside.

The friends wanted to examine the damage caused by a massive storm that swept through the city of Omaha. It caused floods in most areas of the city and at 22:00 on a Friday night, the three friends wanted to see how badly their building was damaged.

Little did they know that the water would start rushing in when they reached the ground floor. It only took a few minutes for the water to reach neck level.

One of the friends inside the elevator phoned his roommate to ask him for assistance, but when the roommate reached the ground floor, he also found himself up to his neck in water.

After struggling for 10 minutes to get out, they eventually managed to get out of the elevator and swim to the first floor.
