TRUMP SUPPORTERS STORM AND ENTER CAPITOL – FOUR PEOPLE DEAD
Thousands of Trump protesters stormed and managed to enter the Capitol building on Tuesday. Supporters of President Donald Trump entered the building after violent clashes with police.
This comes after the US senate were to hold its electoral vote.
CNN reports that the US Secret Service has had to bring in every available agent to the White House and Naval Observatory.
Capitol Hill went into lockdown, with no senate members being allowed to enter or exit the building. A curfew was announced in the city of Washington D.C.
Meanwhile, Twitter has suspended Trump’s account as he has not been condemning the violence and almost seemed to approve of it.
Ivanka Trump called the rioters ‘patriots’, but then deleted her tweet.
The electoral vote count has since been restarted.
CNN further reports that first lady, Ivanka Trump’s, chief of staff and former White House press secretary has resigned over the violent protests.
It has also been reported that four people have been killed with many others injured, including security staff.
