TWITTER COULD LAUNCH AN ‘UNDO’ BUTTON SOON
Social media giant, Twitter, has always said it won’t be adding an ‘undo’ button as a function, but it seems as if they could also be trying to ‘undo’ that statement in the near future.
While it’s not the ‘undo’ button users have been hoping for over the years, the company confirmed on Friday it is testing an undo option that would potentially let users retract or correct a tweet before it’s officially posted on the platform, reports CNN Business.
Jane Manchun Wong is an app developer who recently discovered the feature. She posted a GIF on Twitter of how she was able to click on a blue ‘undo’ bar below the words ‘Your tweet was sent’.
Earlier this year Twitter implied that it’s considering launching a subscription service and that the paid-for option could include options like the ‘undo’ button.
Many users have requested Twitter to include an ‘undo’ button, including Kim Kardashian who’s a big fan of the social media platform. After the massive outcry of wanting more characters than the initial 140, Twitter listened to its users and doubled the number of characters available for use.
If the outcry is big enough for an ‘undo’ button, a similar option might just be applied soon.
