VACCINATED? DISCOVERY WILL GIVE YOU VITALITY POINTS
Several hospitality companies, medical aid and insurance companies around the world have been coming up with incentives for their customers or members to get vaccinated.
While some airlines like Qantas have decided not to allow passengers that aren’t vaccinated to fly on their planes, other companies like Momentum have mentioned that they’re considering charging their non-vaccinated members more for life insurance.
Now, Discovery has announced that it will reward its Vitality members who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 with 2,500 Vitality points. These points will be awarded in October.
In a statement released by the medical aid fund, it said that its members won’t need to take action as those who have been vaccinated already will receive their Vitality points.
“Given that vaccination is our best hope of beating the pandemic and restoring our national vitality and way of life, we need to encourage vaccination at scale,” said Discovery Vitality CEO Dinesh Govender in a statement.
According to Discovery’s website you can earn 100 Vitality points by doing standard exercise, so the vaccination Vitality points are equal to 25 days of exercise.
Only recently Discovery announced that it will soon require all of its employees to prove that they have been fully vaccinated.
