New York Yankees Struck Little Girl By Foul Ball
A young girl was hit in her face by a foul ball last Wednesday during the fifth inning in the Bronx.
Joe Girardi gave a statement after the game saying the fan is “doing OK”. There was a delay of around 5 minutes after the star, Todd Frazier hit a foul ball into the crowds and hit a little fan seated behind third-base. The little fan got carried out of the stands and was rushed to the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital as soon as possible.
A statement was released by the New York Yankees team saying ““the child who was struck by a batted ball today was given first aid at the ballpark and is receiving medical attention at an area hospital.”
The Major League Baseball wants all teams to have 70 feet netting along the home and third base to shield the spectators from foul balls hit into the crowd. We couldn’t agree more. Do you think netting should be a set standard for the baseball stadiums?
