VIDEO: THE WORLD'S STRONGEST MAN

Name: Eddie Hall

Known as: The beast

Date of birth: 15 January 1988

Height: 190cm

Weight: 186kg

Hometown: Newcastle, UK

Speciality: Deadlift (500kg)

Titles: Britain's Strongest man 2011, 2014, 2015 and World's Strongest Man 2017

Eddie "the beast" Hall started out as a bodybuilder but his interest in Strongman competitions sparked when attending a strongman's camp. Soon after that, back in 2010, Hall started to compete. He set a British national record by 2011 and was sent straight to international competitions, starting in Melbourne.

2013 ended with Eddie ranking 8th in Europe's strongest man but he came back with a bang in 2015, taking first place while holding the world record of a 463kg deadlift. After six years of blood, sweat and hard work, Eddie won the title of the World's Strongest Man with a winning squat lift score of an incredible 500kg – that's half-a-ton! Competing against the likes of Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, Ser Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane (from Game of Thrones) and Brian Shaw, is no small feat.

Pulling trucks and lifting weights that one couldn't even fathom has fans cheering his name after his well deserved 2017 title, and he's looking forward to taking more trophy's soon.
