WHO WILL BE THE NEW JAMES BOND?

It’s a role thousands of actors around the world would do anything to get and with Daniel Craig’s final appearance as the world’s favourite spy, the role of James Bond is up for grabs again.

Craig has played the role since 2006 and has even admitted that it’s not his favourite role to play. No Time To Die was recently released in theatres worldwide after several failed attempts due to the pandemic.

While it seems as if this might be Craig’s best appearance as the fictional MI6 spy, the real question on everyone’s lips is who will be the new James Bond and is there a chance that it could be a female actor?

So far, the likes of Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Rege-Jean Page from Bridgerton fame, Tom Holland and Bodyguard actor Richard Madden have all been mentioned. The only female name in the draw is reported to be that of Lashana Lynch.

Producer Barbara Broccoli has hinted that the role is open to both men and women, as well as actors of colour.

Whether the role will be awarded to a non-British actor remains to be seen as every single actor who has played the role has been British.
